Moody Fall Make Up Tutorial
Lacey Scheidel shared with us how to a dramatic and moody fall look at home. She's a talented hairstylist and makeup artist based in Vancouver, WA and created this custom look for our Fall Moody Boho Styled session. The smoky eye look can be achieved many different ways. For this particular look I used the Urban Decay Ultimate Naked Basics Palette. After priming the eye with MAC paint pot in “Painterly” from list to brow bone, I packed on the color “Blow” on the brow bone with a flat eye shadow brush. Then taking my MAC 217 brush, I applied “Commando” in the crease just below the brow bone. Just below that with the same brush I applied “Instinct." On the outer corner of the eye in the shape of a “V” I applied “Lethal” with a touch of “Blackjack” to create that darker smokey look. It is all about the blending when it comes to eye shadow. Apply “Tempted" to the lid with a shadow brush. Tight-line using a black gel waterproof liner to the underside of your lashes to make them appear fuller and black mascara. And as always, lashes add a bit of drama. I recommend Eyemimo cluster lashes for their natural look. Use a small brush to apply a little dark shadow to the outer corner of the under eye. You can then apply your foundation (I use the Original Beauty Blender, dampened). Minimal contouring if any and a deeper blush on the cheeks. Finally, finish with a bold red lip.
